Very interesting weekend for me.
First off, MAGE's first WoW Saturday kicked off, and it was a tremendous success. We did five Ramparts runs, and a great deal of fun was had by all. We're trying to work it so that every Saturday morning will be an instance run of some sort.
Yeah, I know, I said I was done with WoW. But if this keeps up, I'm so fucking in. I love it when we all get together to kick the shit out of an instance!
I started off the day as a Resto. specced shaman, but after the first run I switched back to Enhancement (competing with a priest for healing is annoying for both parties, though the rest of the group loves it). What I soon discovered is that when I have a decent group behind me, my Enhancement shaman is a god of damage. I easily outstripped both our hunter and our mage. It was, in a word, sexy.
I like italics!
All in all, an awesome morning. I got some pretty sweet upgrades. Next weekend we'll probably switch up the instance (perhaps Blood Furnace?), and get some gear for some other peeps. Especially Casey. I don't think his hunter got anything.
Saturday was also the day my girlfriend got her new computer, which would be a monster of a machine...if it ran properly.
Remember earlier when I talked about Vista? Well, I've now "experienced" Vista, courtesy Frys Electronics. And let me tell you something. It. Fucking. SUCKS. It freezes constantly. It asks you seventeen times for approval to install or open anything. Then, in celebration of given permission, it freezes again. My girl didn't even have it for one frelling hour before it gave her the Blue Screen of Death!
Steps are being taken to correct this hideous situation. If all else fails (i.e. Frys doesn't pony up), we can always try Linux.
Had a writing meeting with my girlfriends dad on Saturday night, which went pretty well. I gave pulp writing a shot, and it turned out pretty decent. If anyone wants to read the rough draft, let me know and I'll mail it to you. It's a hell of a lot of fun to write...just crank up the DragonForce and let it rip!
That's it for now. Peace!

I blame microsoft, personally. To help people switch over to the new opperating system they're actually making stores send back copies of windows XP so people who buy a new computer have to make the switch...
I told the guy who sold it to me that I couldn't use the system and needed XP, so he worked it out that I can show up with my tower after work and trade it for another tower which he will have set up exactly like my vista one except XP will be in it instead. I am buying the XP software (don't freak out, Steve) but this is ok because in a year when they have the vista worked out I still have the disks to put that on instead...
...so shiny....
What I did see of it before it froze the computer 5 times looked pretty cool. My goal is to be able to build and animate Blacky by the time I switch over so he can swim accross the desktop. :)
Big Trouble in little Vista.
So yeah guys, come one its Microsoft. You should have seen this coming. Its a new Operationg system from Microsft. Do you guys remember when Xp first came out? It gave a blue screen at the press confrence when Mr. Gates was giving a run through on how stable it was....
My point exactly. Wait a year, or perhaps 2, then uprgrade.
Come on, its Microsoft.
Oh snap, I forgot about the blue screen at the press conference! :D
That's just about one of the funniest things in the history of ever!
