Speaking of retarded, two dudes in Boston are on trial for a viral marketing stunt that spurred a city-wide bomb scare. They held a press conference yesterday, which is just about the funniest thing I've ever seen. What sucks about the situation is that Turner Broadcasting, who hired these men to do this, is letting them take the fall. Which is fucked up.

And speaking of fucked up, Courtney Love managed to pull the needle out of her arm for a minute or two and write an interesting article about the recording industry, and how badly it fucks over the artists. Granted, the article is seven years old, but I'm sure that things haven't changed much. This article had me so mad yesterday I thought I'd be sick. I hate it when people extort artists. Hell, extorting people in general is pretty jacked up.

The problem is the prevalence of unethical business behavior in the artistic community. People take this kind of crap with a shrug and say, "That's the way it is". Well fuck that! My girlfriend is an artist. She told me that to sell a painting in a gallery, she has to pay the gallery owner 50% percent of her profits. Fifty-fucking-percent! That's crazy!

Kids, do me a favor: If you're going to buy artwork, please buy it directly from the artist. Get something commissioned, or something! Support your local artists, not the sleazebags that feed off of them!

I'm probably going to get yelled at later because I got something wrong, but I don't care. My blood is up! It's time for action! I came here to do two things: post an angry blog, and chew bubble gum!
