I remember now why I don't post on the forums that I read: nobody listens to me.
Of course, this might have something to do with the forums that I read. Many of the posters on these sights have very strong feelings about things that I couldn't give a crap about. I don't really like Vampire all that much, but I'm not about to expound seven pages about how much the game sucks ass. I just don't play it. That works pretty well for me.
And I have a hard time taking seriously the people that take these games so seriously. I mean, fuck, it's a game! Calm down! It's not as though Rebecca Borgstrom drove to your house and crapped on your doorstep! She just wrote something you don't like! Thank goodness you're the courageous sort that can announce your undying hatred of her from across the world, brazenly declaring your fabricated internet psuedonym before rattling off insults and personal attacks in a consequence-free environment! I don't know what we'd do without you, you fearless defender of the imaginary!
Typically, when I post, it's to offer my own unique brand of insight, which typically involves making whatever situation the person in question is talking about humorous. That's just my nature: I find comedy to be ever so much more entertaining than drama. That sentiment, it seems, is not shared by the majority of the role-playing community.
And I wouldn't mind that so much if my opinions were even acknowledged, but they aren't. They are simply ignored. And that is what bugs me the most. Because I can't stand being ignored.
So, instead of posting regularly and buidling up a "rep" of sorts, I lurk. Because in the end, I remember that it ultimately doesn't matter if these complete strangers like what I say, and this way I can still enjoy the delicious internet drama that I so adore.
Yes, I realize that this post is swimming in irony. Life seems to be comprised almost entirely of irony. I wouldn't be surprised if, after scientists find a way to break down the atom, they were to discover that each of those tiny particles was comprised of nothing more than irony.
If there is a God-Creator-Being-Thingy, he/she/it is one ironic son/daughter/spawn of a bitch.
Rant done. Peace!

Its a gaming podcast that makes sense!
I get it thru itunes. It has made me reconsider what it is I'm looking for when I want to game.
Check it out.
Perhaps you have not read how mass communication works.
If your post does not end up in a quote down the line, then it pretty much means that everyone who read it AGREED with it.
If you want people to reply you need to give them something to react to. Make them react. Think of message boards not as a quaint round-table discussion discussion, but that you are Hulk Hogan and they are they Sold Out Madison Square Garden.
BTW, both of you, whats your handles?
Arsenic Canary.
Duh.
KrakaJak on rpgsite and rpg.net. I don't really go on rpg.net anymore.
You know what the perfect forum for you would be? Exalted! Seriously, it's just what you're looking for!
