Links and Lunars!

Time to get my link on! Are you ready? GO!
Whew! I need a cigarette!

Iron Heroes went okay last night, after I cut down the difficulty of the encounter by about half. I'm still having trouble judging the power of the players, what with their fancy class abilities and tokens and whatnot. It's really feast or famine with this system. Either they whip the everliving crap out of the encounter, or they're getting their asses kicked.

Anyway, I introduced a few new plot hooks into the campaign, so that should keep them interested for a while. They also showed some initiative last night, which was refreshing to say the least. There may be hope yet. If not, I'm going to have to railroad their asses into oblivion.

I've read almost the entire Lunar book from start to finish, and I'm very pleased with it. My hard copy should be delivered on Monday, or so Amazon claims. Lunars look like a lot of fun to play...too bad I'll probably never get the chance. Ah well. It could be worse.

I have a feeling that Lunars are going to be the new Flavor of the Month, much like martial arts were when Scroll of the Monk was released, and Dragon-Blooded before that. There's nothing wrong with wanting to play with your new toy, but it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of role-playing for me when there's bad case of "Me Too!" going around.

Yes, I want to be an unique snowflake! Robert Paulson can eat me!

Looking forward to a weekend of rest and relaxation, which is foolishly shortsighted of me, but what the hell...it helps me get through the week.

That's it for the moment. Peace out.
