I'll "new game" your FACE!

So, I realized today that I own, like, four or five different role-playing systems that either I've never really played or I've only played once or twice. What sucks about this is that I really (really [really]) want to play some of them (Warhammer Fantasy, namely), but I just don't have the time. I'm already playing D&D twice a week, so I don't really have time for other games, which I'm a bit dissapointed about.

I could always ask my gaming group to put the current game on hold and test drive some of these, but I think that, were I to ask this, my players would react violently. I know that at least one of my players would try and rearrange my anatomy in an unpleasant fashion, though others might be up for giving these gems a test drive.

Ah well. I'll get my chance, I'm sure. If I'm truly desperate, I'll whip up a small group o' players and give it a test run. I'd also like to play some more Mage, and of course Kobolds Ate My Babies.

In the past, I used to scorn pre-made materials and campaign settings, but now that I don't have as much free time as I used to I'm starting to recognize their appeal. It's nice having everything lain out for you, and makes being the DM more of an entertaining position than another job. Does this mean that Canary is giving up making up all of his shit? Hardly. But if I run Warhammer Fantasy, I might just use the source material.

I say that now, but I can almost guarantee that this is not the case. If I run Warhammer Fantasy and like it, I'll probably resurrect the Dark Prophecy game. I know me too well.

I thought I had some neat links for ya'll to peruse, but I can't seem to find them. I need to lay off the cocaine before that second shot of bourbon before I go to work.

Anyway, that is all for now. Peace!

of course there is not enough free time. There is never enough free time, unless you want to become unemployed and single. Then your have too much free time.

not sure what the links were supposed to represent to us the players, but the info on the peach plant was interesting enough.

The peach reference was in reference to DJ, who lays claim to the nickname "Peaches" among others.

The hillbilly was Kev.

*sigh* Jokes aren't as funny when they need to be explained.

You lose, Casey. You lose.
