The New Hotness (2008)
First of all, I'm sorry to announce that my old flame Keira Knightley has been shelved. That's right, folks. After years of scandal and Hollywood romance, I'm calling it quits. She never calls (back), and even during the best of times she's always so distant (thanks largely to the restraining order she filed).
So, I herebye declare the New Hotness for 2008: Claudia Black!

"Who?" I hear some of you ask. To which I respond, "Y'know, Aeryn Sun? From Farscape? Probably the best sci-fi show ever made?" And then you nod and smile and pretend to be interested while backing slowly towards the door.
It doesn't matter, though. She's hot, and she kicks ass. If you don't get, it can't be helped. My friend Jeff would argue that her hotness is nothing new, and of course he's right, but I just recently came to the realization, so he can just make like his ancestors and clam up.
That was a scientology joke, you see. Nevermind. I'm not going to explain it. No, I'm not a scientologist. Man, you sure do ask a lot of questions!
Saying of the Year
“Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome and famous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people around you won’t feel insecure. We were born to manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some, it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
~ Marianne Williamson
Goals for the Year
After six months of sitting on my ass, I'm getting back into martial arts. Not ever doing anything half-assed, I'm jumping in with both feet and taking two arts at the same time. I'll be going back to aikido (my first love) while training simultaneously at another local dojo that teaches a variety of japanese arts.

Wushu is on the backburner for now, mostly due to the commute.
Either way, I'll probably be dead in a month or so due to exhaustion.
Writing
My goal is to start again. All things considered, that's pretty ambitious.
Also, Jeff and I will be starting a small webcomic. More details will be posted here once it's up.
Role-Playing
I'm cutting down on my RP hours overall for while. D&D 4e comes out this year, and I'm working on a dungeon-punk setting with Casey that will hopefully work out well. We've got some awesome ideas floating about!
Those are the big goals for now. We'll see how things go!
Happy New Year! Peace!

Yay, I can't wait to beat you up again down at the dojo!! ummm...I mean train with you.
Whatever, we all know you like strong women who kick their men's asses on a regular basis. Thus the lusting after Ms. Black. ;)
