What kind of freaks me out is that it's almost 30 pages. I haven't written this much in a long, long time. It was good to stretch the scribing muscles once again. Granted, there's plenty of white space, but even so, there's a lot of text. I'm actually quite proud of some of it. I think, overall, it turned out pretty well.
It was shortly after falling into my typical post-celebratory-depression that I realized that it's when I'm creating this kind of shit that I have the most fun running role-playing games. I like the creation. Once you drag rules and shit into it, it usually gets bogged down and irritating. I used to be a goddamn encyclopedia of whatever ruleset I chose. Now, I couldn't give a damn.
It's not about the rules for me anymore. It's about the experience. Which sounds sufficiently pretentious enough to induce dry heaving.
I also find it highly entertaining that the Star Wars game is going so well. We're already three sessions deep, and so far I've heard no complaints. Even the people that steadfastly cling to their professed hatred of sci-fi and Star Wars in general seem to forget all that once the game starts and the dice start rolling. Casey's portrayal of the gungan noble had the group in stitches. Kev's wookie jedi is just perfect. Even RJ, who is usually terribly withdrawn, has shone as the twi'lek scoundrel by trying like hell to make a simple clandestine transaction run as smoothly as possible while a gun-toting maniac (myself) is doing his best to muck everything up.
Not bad for something thrown together by two bored DMs in less than an hour.
Wow, sidetracked!
Anyway, I was going to discuss some game ideas I had. So...I guess I'll start doing that!
- Zombie Star Wars
That's right. I've got an idea for a zombie survival-horror game set in that galaxy far, far away. I think it'd be funny as hell, and it's sufficiently gonzo enough for my gaming group. - World of Darkness
Actually, I don't have a WoD idea, but I really want to run a WoD game. The problem is, I never really "got" WoD. There's just something that's fundamentally missing from my understanding of it. Though, typing this, I just totally got an idea. Rad!
I think I've already told you about my tendency to come up with entire campaigns in ten minutes, right? If not, I do. The ol' "lightbulb goes on" trick.
Oh, I also just remembered, I had an idea for a Mage campaign some time ago. Maybe the two could tie in...
I'm babbling. Sorry. - Mutants and Masterminds
I don't think that my group would really like this game. None of them are huge superhero nerds, and the system is sufficiently broken enough to warrant concern from certain members. - Island of Heaven
I started whipping this up before Casey and I started our D&D 4.0 setting. It's fantasy (which I'm getting rather sick of), but with a focus on morality and destiny. That is, destiny of the species, rather than the individual. I was thinking of using the True20 system with it. The problem is, I don't think that my group can do "serious" long enough for me to get the points I want across. Ah well. - Crazy Gonzo Bullshit
Or I can go totally the opposite direction and just whip up the crazy, off-the-fucking-wall kind of game that my group thrives on, no matter what they claim. It's tempting...
Anyway, those are my ideas of the moment. What do you think? Which would you like to try?

1. You already spilled the beans to me on this one, but I'd love to watch it be played, and maybe play a zombie or 5.
2. I like WoD, it's my favorite game/system. I've got the system pretty much down pat, if you're evr confused about anything you can go ahead and gimme a call.
Also, if you're planning on actualy running a WoD game, gimme a call.
Thanks for not calling it nWoD by the way, that bugs the crap outta me :D
3. I like M&M as well (I have the original edition). The only thing I think is difficult about it is players need to have pretty fleshed out concepts before they begin creating a character. Same problem with GURPS, BESM, AFMBE...etc.etc.etc.
Although I'm not too hip to superheroes I love the Spiderman movies...and the X-Men cartoon!
4. Ahhh, the Promethean problem (I would love to run Promethean, but I can only think of 2 people I could play it with). I heard you were able to pull it off well with your dark prophesy game though.
5. Crazy gonzo is great too. It's why I love TMNT&OS and TOON.
In the end, these are all good ideas and, time permitting, I'd be down to play in all of them. I myself have basicly been doing 1 shots and short campaigns, trying to fit in al the games I've still got to play :D
